Chart Installer: Cannot Get Past reCAPTCHA/Not a Robot Images or Receiving Forgot Password Email

When logging into the Chart Installer software, you must go through a reCAPTCHA security sequence of choosing images to indicate you are not a robot. This sequence of images can sometimes feel like it continues to loop through without verifying you are not a robot.

After checking the "I am not a robot" box, you will receive a pop-up asking you to select specific images. You need to select all images even if it only contains a portion of the item. In the example below, you are asked to select all images including a motorcycle, highlighted in the screenshot below.

Some images may refresh. Wait for all images to refresh to select any new images containing the selection criteria. Once you have selected the images, click on the VERIFY button and the screen will close and the "I am not a robot" will have a green check.

If you click the VERIFY button and it gives you a new set of images to select from, you may have missed one of the items in your initial selection. 

Resetting Your Password

NOTE: Resetting the password of your Garmin Navionics account will not stop the reCAPTCHA security request.

If you have forgotten your password  you can request a temporary password to be sent to your email address.

1. Go to www.garmin.com/account
2. Enter the email address associated with your account
3. Select Recover password
4. A temporary password will be sent your email
5. Log in using your email address and temporary password
6. You will be prompted to select a password of your choice
7. Enter chosen password twice
   You will have the option to check the box to log out of all sites and apps logged in under your account
8. Tap Save

IMPORTANT: If you do not receive the email in your inbox, double check your junk/spam mail. You may also need to add alerts@account.garmin.com to your approved/safe senders list in your email service.
