Using the Unidentified Driver Feature on a Garmin Dash Cam Live

Your Garmin Dash Cam Live can send a notification to the Garmin Drive app on your smartphone if your vehicle moves without your phone nearby.

To use this feature, your camera must have an active LTE subscription. For more information see Remote Live View with Wi-Fi or LTE on a Garmin Dash Cam Live

This feature is supplemental and should not be relied upon as a primary method to monitor or secure your vehicle.

To Enable Unidentified Driver Alerts:

1. From the Garmin Drive app on your smartphone, select the settings gear

2. Select the vehicle, then select the camera name

3. Scroll down the page to Unidentified Driver Alerts. Slide the button left or right to enable/disable the feature

4. When enabled, an alert will appear in on your smartphone when your vehicle moves without your phone nearby
