The Maximum Number of GHC Instruments that can work with a Garmin Autopilot
All Garmin Autopilot systems utilize a Garmin Helm Controller (GHC 10, 20, or 50) to control the autopilot system. More than one GHC can connect to the NMEA 2000 network to control the autopilot from other areas for boats with multiple helms.
Garmin has tested the older GHP 10, and GHP 12 with up to four GHC 10 or GHC 20 screens connected to a single Garmin autopilot, with each GHC 10 or GHC 20 screen working correctly. The yellow wire from each connected GHC 10 or GHC 20 must be connected to the yellow wire on the CCU to power on the autopilot.
Reactor 40 Autopilot system can handle as many GHC 20 instruments as a user wants to install, not to exceed the total NMEA 2000 LEN available for the boat's network.
Note: When multiple GHC are installed, the user must start and finish all the initial configurations and Sea trials on the same GHC 20.
Note: When multiple GHC are installed, the user can troubleshoot using any GHC 20, but if changes to the AP configuration are made, the user must complete the configuration and Sea trial from the same GHC they started on
