Pairing the inReach Mini for the inReach Remote Widget
Some non-inReach Garmin products have the ability to pair with the inReach® Mini satellite communicator and use some of the inReach communication features it offers.
Even though both devices need to be in close proximity (10ft) to each other, it can be helpful to strap your inReach device on your pack or person, and then use your smaller non-inReach device for messaging, SOS, etc.
This article walks you through the process of getting these devices paired together.
Enabling the inReach Remote Mode on the inReach Mini Satellite Communicator
Go to the Main Menu.
Select Setup.
Select ANT+.
Select Status.
Select On.
Verification should show Off.
Enabling and Connecting the inReach Remote Widget
Last, you need to pair your compatible non-inReach device. Steps will vary by the type of device you are using.
