Compatible Edge® cycling computers feature a bike alarm that can be set when you are away from your bike, such as during a stop on a long ride. If the device detects motion when the alarm is armed, it will sound an alarm and send an alert to your connected smartphone. You can control the bike alarm and its settings from your device or the device settings in the Garmin Connect™ app. Select an option below to reveal instructions:
From the Home screen, select the Menu.
Select Settings if applicable.
Select Safety & Tracking.
Select Bike Alarm.
Select Set or Clear Passcode.
When setting the code you will be prompted to enter it twice for accuracy.
NOTE: To disable the bike alarm from the Edge device, you will be prompted to enter this passcode.
Press and hold the Power button

Select Set Bike Alarm.
Select Turn Alarm Off or 
.
Enter your preset passcode.
From the Home screen, select

Select Safety & Tracking.
Select Bike Alarm.
Select Set or Clear Passcode.

Swipe down from the top of the screen to access the Status Page/Settings widget.
Swipe over to the Controls widget.
Select Set Bike Alarm.
Select Turn Alarm Off.
Enter your preset passcode.
Open the Garmin Connect app.
Select More (bottom right).
Select Garmin Devices.
Select your device.
Select Bike Alarm.
Select (Re)set Passcode.
NOTE: To disable the bike alarm from the Edge device, you will be prompted to enter this passcode.
Open the Garmin Connect app.
Select More (bottom right).
Select Garmin Devices.
Select your device.
Select Bike Alarm.
Toggle Arm Bike Alarm on.
Open the Garmin Connect app.
Tapping on the "Bike Alarm Activated!" message notification on your phone will also open the app.
Select More (bottom right).
Select Garmin Devices.
Select your device.
Select Safety & Tracking
Select Bike Alarm.
Select Alarm Off (to turn alarm off and re-arm it) or toggle Arm Bike Alarm to off (to disarm it completely).
