This Video is a Quick and Easy way to Learn about Saving a RODS Report from the Administrator Account with an Apple device.
1. Open the Garmin eLog App and ensure the Garmin eLog ELD adapter is connected
2. Sign in to your Administrator Profile
3. Select the Driver
4. Touch the menu button (3 dots) in the upper right-hand corner
5. Touch Create RODS Report
6. Enter an Annotation
7. Adjust the date if necessary
8. Select the Vehicle
9. Select the method to send the report
NOTE: USB and Bluetooth methods require the inspector's device to be present.
- Save Report: Saves the Report to the File Manager app of your phone or iPad
- Web Services: Sends the Report to the FMCSA using the Web Services option in the Garmin eLog app
- Email: Sends the Report to the FMCSA using the Email option in the Garmin eLog app
- USB: Sends the report to an inspector's USB flash drive
- Bluetooth: Sends the report via Bluetooth connection using the inspector's device
Following these steps will create a .csv file with the log information in it.
