How Do I Use the Extended Display Feature on my Approach R50?

The Approach® R50 launch monitor can extend the display to a projector, TV, or monitor by using the Audio/Video (A/V) port on the back of the Approach. This can be helpful if you want a larger screen to view details such as data fields, ball impact data, a video of the ball impact, or the ball path after taking your shot.

Connecting the Approach R50 to an External Display

  • If your projector, TV, or monitor has an HDMI® port, you can use an HDMI cable to plug the Approach directly into the display.

  • If your projector, TV, or monitor has a DisplayPort™ you will need to use a powered HDMI to DisplayPort Adapter as well as a DisplayPort cable. This type of adapter requires a USB power source to be able to function.

Once the Approach R50 is plugged in to your external display you are ready to use the extended display feature.

When the Approach R50 is plugged in to your external display you can use the extended display feature:

  1. After selecting the mode you want to use, press Start Session.
