Garmin 9-Axis and SteadyCast Heading Sensor Compatibility

ECHOMAP™ chartplotters and GPSMAP® chartplotters with NMEA 2000 support are compatible with the SteadyCast™ heading sensor or 9-axis Heading Sensor. The ECHOMAP units will only support essential calibration. Directions for performing basic calibration are in the installation instructions. When calibrating the compass, the closer to 100, the better the magnetic environment; if the compass calibration is closer to zero or is at zero, try performing the calibration again or relocating the sensor to another location. 

The following chartplotters will have full feature compatibility and can calibrate the heading sensor through the chartplotter interface.

NOTE: ECHOMAP units are not capable of displaying Rate of Turn, Heel, and Pitch data from the 9-axis sensor.
