Correcting Low Volume on Automotive Devices
If you are having trouble hearing the sound coming from the automotive device you will first want to make sure that the volume or master volume is set to an audible level.
To Check the Volume or Master Volume:
- Touch the Volume icon on the Where To? View Map screen
2. Confirm the volume is set to the desired level and it is not muted
On some devices, hit the down arrow on the left to see additional volume settings. Checkmark all desired to have sound.
If the master volume is turned up and the volume is still low, check the volume levels within the Mixer or Audio Mixer to make sure they are set to an audible level.
To View the Mixer or Audio Mixer:
1. Touch the Volume icon on the Where To? View Map screen
2. Touch the Wrench icon or slider icon
- Skip this step on some devices
3. Touch Audio Mixer or Mixer
- Skip this step on some devices
4. Confirm the desired volume for any that apply: (i.e. Navigation and OK Garmin, Media, Phone, Alert Tones, Camera Alerts, Amazon Alexa, etc.)
The volume level should now be set to the desired level.
NOTE: Audio Mixer is available only after the phone has been paired to the device on some Bluetooth-compatible devices.
