Open the Garmin Connect app.
Select More (bottom right).
Select Garmin Devices.
Select the device name.
Select User Settings, User Profile, or My Stats.
Select Power Zones or Heart Rate & Power Zones.
If you selected Heart Rate & Power Zones you will need to select Power.
Once in the Power Zones menu select the activity you wish to edit the FTP/TP for.
Select the FTP or TP field that is applicable to your activity.
Input your FTP/TP value.
Android™ Platform: You will need to use your keyboard's return key to save the changed FTP Value.
iOS: Select Done.
Exit out of the app settings by using the back arrow (upper left).
Sync your device.
Select your product to confirm this information applies to you
Sending FTP from Garmin Connect to a Garmin Fitness Device
The Functional Threshold Power (FTP) Value for devices that support cycling power data, ski power data, and in some cases running power data in the form of Threshold Power (TP) can be set in your Garmin Connect™ account and then sent over to your Garmin device using the Garmin Connect app on your smartphone or from the Garmin Express™ software on a personal computer.
NOTE: The FTP value can be entered directly on some models. Refer to your owner's manual to determine if your device supports this option.
Choose the platform from where you wish to change this setting:
NOTE: Steps will not be available for devices compatible with Real Time Settings.
From a web browser, sign in to Garmin Connect.
Select
in the top right corner.Select Device Settings under the desired device.
Select User Settings.
Under Power Zones set your Functional Threshold Power value.
Select Save Settings.
Sync device.
The updated FTP value will now be transferred when your device syncs using Garmin Express.
