What Is the Difference Between Corning® Gorilla® Glass DX, Power Glass™ and Sapphire Crystal Lens?

Corning® Gorilla® Glass DX, which is also used for the Power Glass™ lens, is designed to be scratch-resistant, but it is not as durable as the sapphire crystal lens. The sapphire crystal lens is incredibly durable and is the third hardest mineral, right behind diamond. As a result, the lens is much harder to scratch than glass. Please note that while the sapphire crystal lens can be very difficult to scratch, it is still not scratchproof.

Why Would I Select a fēnix 6 Pro Solar?

The fēnix 6 Pro Solar smartwatch uses our Power Glass watch lens to convert sunlight into battery power, extending your time between charges. To learn more, check out our fēnix 6 Pro Solar Edition.

What Is Pulse Ox?

Pulse oximetry, or Pulse Ox1 for short, is a noninvasive method used to measure the saturation of oxygen in the bloodstream. Compatible watches use a combination of red and infrared lights with sensors on the back of the device to determine the percentage of oxygenated blood, or SpO2%, available in your blood. Typical readings can vary from 85 to 100%, but this can vary widely based on many factors.

1Pulse Ox data is intended for recreational use only. Pulse Ox data should not be treated as any type of medical diagnosis or treatment of disease. This is not a medical device; see Activity Tracking and Fitness Metric Accuracy.

What New Settings Are Available in the Power Manager?

Power manager offers various settings to manage battery use. Some of these features include battery saver and power mode. Battery saver controls your everyday settings so you can adjust features — such as backlight, smartphone connection or optical heart rate — that are on or off. Power modes allow you to set these features to use for your activity profile.
