Changing Track Color on the Professional Account Explore Website Map

When viewing the Garmin Explore™ website Map tab, it may be helpful to change the color of tracks to distinguish between multiple tracks recorded in the same area, or between different users' tracks.

Steps for this process are below.

Changing a Tracks Color

  1. Select the Map tab.

  2. Select Group Arrow for the desired Group from the left-hand panel.

  3. For the desired user, ensure visibility of their tracks:

    • Select the eyeball icon.

      Grey Eyeball - Professional Account

    • Select the + icon.

      Plus Sign - Professional account

  4. Select User Arrow for that user.

  5. Select the track you wish to change the color of under Tracks. The map on the right will display that track.

    • NOTE: You may have to first select User Arrow for Tracks or a Collection. In a Collection, you then need to select the Tracks tab:

  6. Select the track on the map.

  7. Select the pencil icon in the bubble that appears on the map.

    • NOTE: If the bubble does not appear, you may have to click the track line or a track point on the map.

  8. Select a color, or select Random which assigns a random color that is not listed.

  9. Select the green check-mark to save your changes.

The selected track will now have the saved color.


Additional Notes

  • At this time, there is no option to change the track color for a user or group as a whole, the color has to be changed for each individual track.

  • Colors on tracks labeled as an Activity cannot be changed.

  • Changing track colors can only be done on a Professional account.
