Pairing a Garmin Dash Cam with the Garmin Drive App

1. Turn on your Garmin Dash Cam, and place the device and your smartphone within 10 feet (3 m) of each other.

2. Open the Garmin Drive app on your phone

NOTE: Garmin Dash Cams with a built-in display will provide a Garmin Drive app QR code during the pairing process to scan for Garmin Drive app installation.

3. Place a checkmark to agree to the Privacy Policy and License Agreement, then select Next

4. Select Agree to the Warning

5. Select Garmin Dash Cam Series

6. Select Allow for the app to find, connect to, and determine position of nearby devices during pairing process

7. On your dash cam, activate pairing mode:

• Garmin Dash Cam X310
  • On your dash cam, swipe left to open the menu, then select Get the App
  • Pairing will begin or scan the QR code to be directed to the Drive app

• Garmin Dash Cam X110, Garmin Dash Cam X210, Garmin Dash Cam Live, Garmin Dash Cam 47, Garmin Dash Cam 57,  Garmin Dash Cam 67W, Garmin Dash Cam 46 | Garmin Dash Cam 56 | Garmin Dash Cam 66W 
  • Tap on the arrow buttons in the menu options until you get to the Get the App or Garmin Drive app, then tap on the bottom Save button.

• Garmin Dash Cam Mini 3, Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2, Garmin Dash Cam Mini
  • Hold down the Save button on your Dash Cam until the LED flashes blue.

• Garmin Dash Cam Tandem
  • Hold down the Save button on your Dash Cam Tandem until the LED flashes blue.

8. Bluetooth pairing request, select Pair or Pair & Connect when prompted

Respond to any prompts as they appear on your dash cam.

NOTE: On the Garmin Dash Cams with a built-in display:

• If 'Reconnecting' or 'Add Another Phone' displays, it is because it is remembering it had already connected to a phone.
• Press the Save button next to Add Another Phone on the side of the device (bottom button) to continue the pairing process.
• iPhone users: This step may be necessary in order for the dash cam to show in 'Select an Accessory' in the Drive app.

9. Bluetooth pairing request and passkey, select Pair when prompted.

• Select the passkey when it appears on the dash cam screen on the Garmin Dash Cam Live, Garmin Dash Cam, 46, 47, 56, 57, 66W, 67W

10. The Garmin Drive app will begin to connect and pair to the dash cam

11. Select Pair to allow access to contacts

12. Sign in to an existing Garmin account or create a new one

13. Select Continue

Follow the remaining Garmin Drive app prompts to complete the setup.

Your dash cam is fully connected is when you see it highlighted in a blue color as shown here:

1. Turn on your Garmin Dash Cam, and place the device and your smartphone within 3 m (10 ft.) of each other.

2. Open the Garmin Drive app on your phone.

NOTE: Garmin Dash Cams with a built-in display will provide a Garmin Drive app QR code during the pairing process to scan for Garmin Drive app installation.

3. Select Allow for the Garmin Drive app to give you notifications (not required for general app usage)

4. Select OK to use Bluetooth (Bluetooth permission required for dash cam pairing)

5. Agree to the Privacy Policy and License Agreement then select Next

6. Select Agree to the warning

7. Select Garmin Dash Cam Series

8.  The Garmin Drive app will begin searching for your dash cam.

9. On your dash cam, activate pairing mode: 

• Garmin Dash Cam X310
  • On your dash cam, swipe left to open the menu, then select Get the App
  • Pairing will begin or scan the QR code to be directed to the Drive app

• Garmin Dash Cam X110, Garmin Dash Cam X210, Garmin Dash Cam Live, Garmin Dash Cam 47, Garmin Dash Cam 57,  Garmin Dash Cam 67W, Garmin Dash Cam 46, Garmin Dash Cam 56, Garmin Dash Cam 66W 
  • Tap on the arrow buttons in the menu options until you get to the Get the App or Garmin Drive app, then tap on the bottom Save button.

• Garmin Dash Cam Mini 3, Garmin Dash Cam Mini 2, Garmin Dash Cam Mini
  • Hold down the Save button on your Dash Cam until the LED flashes blue.

• Garmin Dash Cam Tandem
  • Hold down the Save button on your Dash Cam Tandem until the LED flashes blue.

Respond to any prompts as they appear on your dash cam.

NOTE: On the Garmin Dash Cams with a built-in display:

• If 'Reconnecting' displays, it is because it is remembering it had already connected to a phone.

10. Tap on Select an Accessory when prompted

• Skip this step on the Garmin Dash Cam X110, Garmin Dash Cam X210, Garmin Dash Cam X310, Garmin Dash Cam Mini 3, and Garmin Dash Cam Live

11. Select the device from the list of Bluetooth accessories. It may take a few moments for your dash cam to appear on the list.

• Skip this step on the Garmin Dash Cam X110, Garmin Dash Cam X210, Garmin Dash Cam X310, Garmin Dash Cam Mini 3, and Garmin Dash Cam Live

12. Sign into an existing Garmin account or create a new one.

13. Select Continue

Follow the remaining Garmin Drive app prompts to complete the setup.

Your dash cam is fully connected is when you see it highlighted in a blue color as shown here:
