Getting Started With the Xero X1i Crossbow Scope

You will be prompted to choose the position of the 20 yard aim point on the display during initial setup. The position of the 20 yard aim point determines the maximum range available, which is shown when selecting the position. The 20 yard aim point position should be chosen based on typical ranges you expect to shoot with the following considerations:

• If the 20 yard aim point is too low, you may run out of room in your aim point stack when ranging longer shots
• If the 20 yard aim point is too high, you may run out of elevation adjustments preventing you from aligning the aim point with where the bolt is actually hitting

The scope will walk you through taking a few shots at 5 yards to get on paper, then you will back up to 20 yards to sight in your 20 yard aim point. After each shot taken when sighting in, the scope will ask if the bolt hit the bullseye, and if you did not, will prompt you to measure the distance from the bolt to where you aimed. You will be instructed to loosen the lock knob and adjust the mount dials based on the measurement.

At 20 yards, 10 clicks = 1 inch

When using Auto Calibrate, the scope prompts you to enter your bow's speed to generate a stack of fixed aim points out to 80 yards. The aim point stack is accessed in Hunt mode by pressing the range button once.

Longer ranges past 80 yards can be added to the aim point stack after using Auto Calibrate by editing bolt profiles. 

NOTE: Speed readings from a chronograph should be used to get the most accurate calibrated aim points with the specific bolt you are using. If access to a chronograph is not available, the bow's advertised speed can be entered and auto-calibrated aim points can be adjusted manually to compensate. If after initial calibration your bolts are accurate at shorter ranges but hitting right or left at longer ranges, the windage mount dial may need to be adjusted a few clicks. For steps, see the owner's manual.

If left and right misses are not corrected by adjusting windage, there may be other issues with scope alignment which can be corrected using the Device Alignment and Second Axis Calibration features found in Pro Settings. In some cases, shims may be needed. For more info, see the owner's manual.

If you shoot multiple bolt configurations from the same crossbow, up to 10 custom Bolt Profiles can be configured. This allows the user to switch from shooting target bolts to hunting bolts simply by changing profiles. For steps to add custom Bolt Profiles, see the owner's manual.
