Connecting Sensors to The Tacx Training App

The Tacx Training app is able to pair with Bluetooth sensors, such as Heart Rate Monitors or Speed and Cadence sensors. (Not compatible with power meters). When pairing, the sensors must be awake to connect.
Refer to your sensor's owner's manual to determine if it is able to pair using Bluetooth technology.

Connecting a Bluetooth Sensor

  1. Open the Tacx Training app.

  2. Select Settings (bottom right).

  3. Select Device Manager.

  4. Wake up the sensor.

    • To get heart rate from a compatible Garmin watch, put the watch into broadcast mode (see your owner's manual).

  5. The sensor should appear under Other Devices, tap it to connect.

  6. After the sensor pairs, the icons will turn green.

After these steps, whenever the Tacx Training app is open and the sensor is broadcasting, the app should automatically find and connect to it. If you ever select Disconnect under the sensor, you will have to manually tap it to pair the next time you open the Tacx Training app.

Troubleshooting Connecting Your Sensor to the Tacx Training App

The most common reason a Bluetooth sensor will not pair with a training application is that the sensor is already paired with another device or training application.

To ensure there is no interference from another app or device, follow these steps to disconnect your sensor:

  1. Completely shut down any other device you are not using that has the ability to pair with your sensor. This includes smartphones, tablets, and computers.

  2. On the device you are using, close the Tacx Training app as well as any other training apps you have installed.

  3. Reopen the Tacx Training app on the device you are using and try connecting with your sensor again.

  4. If the issue continues, Contact Support.
