Instructions to Sync Amazon Music Content to the Enduro 2

This article will provide instructions to use the Amazon Music Connect IQ app on the Enduro 2.

Requirements

The following are requirements to use the Amazon Music Connect IQ app on your watch:

  • The watch must be paired to your smartphone through the Garmin Connect app.
  • The watch must be set up to connect to a Wi-Fi network. For help, see - Adding Wi-Fi Networks to Compatible Watches.
  • An Amazon Prime or Amazon Music Unlimited account is required. For help, see - What is the Difference Between Prime Music and Amazon Music Unlimited?
  • Secure Clock: This feature is used to synchronize the time on your watch. If you have never used the GPS on your watch, or if the battery has been completely discharged recently, you may be prompted to enable GPS after accessing the Amazon Music app. GPS can be enabled by choosing an outdoor activity.
  • The app works in the United States, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.

I Meet the Requirements. What Do I Do Next?

The three steps listed below need to be completed when first setting up the Amazon Music app with your watch. Once complete, you will only need to follow the third step when you want to load additional content to your watch. Select each section to expand and view instructions on completing each step:

Step 1: Download and Install the Amazon Music Connect IQ App

  1. Select the following link to download the app: Amazon Music Connect IQ App.

  2. Select Blue Download Button button.

  3. If prompted, sign into your Garmin account.

  4. Select your watch to download the app.

  5. Acknowledge any app permission requests.

  6. Message should indicate that the app will be installed during the next sync. If this does not occur automatically, below are options to sync your watch:
    • To sync via Bluetooth: Be in range of your paired Smartphone, press and hold the power key to access the Controls Menu. Select blue sync arrows to sync
    • To sync via Wi-Fi: Be in range of your Wi-Fi network, press and hold the power key to access the Controls Menu. Select blue sync arrows to sync
    • To sync using Garmin Express: Connect the watch to a computer using the supplied power/data cable. Open Garmin Express. Sync will automatically occur once the watch is detected.
Once the sync is complete, the Amazon Music app will be installed onto your watch. You are ready to move to Step 2.

Step 2: Set Up the Amazon Music Connect IQ App


Once the app is installed, you will be prompted on the watch to continue setup

  1. Hold the DOWN key (the music shortcut key).

  2. Hold the UP/MENU key to access settings.

  3. Select Music Providers.

  4. Select Amazon Music.

  5. Press (do not hold) the UP/MENU key.

  6. Select Amazon Music Icon (Amazon Music Icon).

  7. The screen should prompt you to visit amazon.com/us/code. The code provided on the watch will tie it to your Amazon account. Use a mobile device or personal computer to complete this step. Once completed, allow up to a few minutes for the watch to proceed to the main menu.

You are ready to move to Step 3.

Step 3: Selecting and Syncing Content to the Watch

NOTE: Your watch must be able to connect to your Wi-Fi network to download content from Amazon Music.

  1. Hold the DOWN key (the music shortcut key).

  2. Press (don not hold) the UP/MENU key.

  3. Select Amazon Music Icon (Amazon Music Icon).

  4. Select Browse.

  5. Choose a category then choose the content you want to sync to your watch.

At this point, the watch will attempt to connect to your Wi-Fi network. We recommend plugging the watch into a charger near the Wi-Fi router for the best results.

After listening to your music, you can report all songs played to Amazon Music by selecting the Amazon Music icon from the Music Widget and then selecting Sync. You can also auto-trigger a sync by plugging the watch in to charge.
