When does my GDL 50, GDL 51, and GDL 52 go into Power Safe Mode?
The battery saver feature on the GDL®50, GDL®51, and GDL®52 will turn off the unit when external power is removed if all three of the following conditions are true:
Ground Speed less than 20kts or No GPS fix.
No Connext connection.
Running on battery only.
Once these three conditions are met, the unit will power off after two minutes.
