What Is the Garmin Connect TrueUp Feature and How Does It Work?
TrueUp is a feature that allows you to wear and sync data collected from multiple activity trackers. Garmin Connect will also "TrueUp" all of that data back to all your compatible devices.
What Data Gets Merged?
Garmin Connect will accept any of the data below from any device that is capable of recording it. This data is then packaged up and sent back to devices that are compatible with TrueUp.
- Steps
- Calories
- Floors
- Intensity Minutes
- Step distance traveled
What is a Preferred Activity Tracker?
Your preferred activity tracker is set in Garmin Connect and is the one device that will break any tiebreakers with other activity trackers. Data from your preferred activity tracker will always trump other devices when the data is equal and recorded at the same time. This avoids the same data being counted more than once.
For help with setting a preferred activity tracker see Garmin Connect: Setting a Device as a Preferred Activity Tracker.
