Unlocking a DVD Map That Has Been Previously Unlocked

If you have previously unlocked DVD maps you should have a 25 digit code. This can be entered manually in BaseCamp™ or MapSource® software to unlock the DVD mapping again. 

NOTE: The Garmin Unlock Online Wizard has been discontinued and is no longer available for use. For more infromation, see - Garmin Unlock Online Wizard Discontinued.

Windows

  1. Open BaseCamp or MapSoure.

  2. Select Maps.

  3. Select Manage Map Products.

  4. From the Unlock Regions tab.

  5. Select Add.

  6. Enter the 25-character unlock code.

  7. Enter a comment (optional).

  8. Select OK.

MAC

  1. Open BaseCamp or MapSoure.

  2. Select Maps.

  3. Select Edit Unlock Codes.

  4. Select Add.

  5. Enter the 25-character unlock code.

    • The unlocked map product appears in the list.

  6. Enter a comment (optional).
