How do I Erase and Reload the Weather Data on my iPad or iPhone for Garmin Pilot?
Sometimes it may be necessary to refresh the weather data inside of Garmin Pilot™ on an iPad or iPhone.
To do This:
Make sure that you are connected to either Wi-Fi or some other data source that can provide weather information.
Tap on the Home icon at the top left of the screen (or on the bottom right of the screen, tap on the three dots with the word More)
Tap Settings
Tap Data Services
On the right side of the screen, scroll down until you see Refresh Text Weather. On the same line written in blue, tap on the word Refresh.
Check to see if you now have up-to-date weather on your device.
If there is Still no Current Weather being Displayed:
Fully close out of the Garmin Pilot application:
For iPhone:
From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.
Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.
For iPad:
From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.
Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.
On your iOS device, go to Settings
On the left side of the page, scroll down until you see the Pilot icon
On the right side of the page, switch on the Erase Weather Data option
Close out of Settings, then try opening Garmin Pilot again and check to make sure that your weather is now up-to-date. There may be a lag time of up to 5 minutes while the data refreshes.
