Transfer User Data from the Explore Website to a Garmin

With the new feature Library & Collections updates of the Explore Website users can choose what data to transfer to their compatible Garmin device using the sync option.

The sync option is found under the Library option or under specific Collections. For more information on Collections review the Related Content below.

Note: The data transferred to the Garmin will overwrite data that is currently on the device. Ensure you have done a sync recently from the Earthmate app, Explore app or inReach sync if you have data on your device you do not already see in your Library or Collections.


Data transferred by a sync:

  • Waypoints
  • Routes
  • Activities*

Syncing the Library:

1. Select the Map Tab

2. Select a category from the Library list  


3. Select 

4. Select your device

5. Sync your device with your compatible smartphone app or inReach Sync

 


 

To Sync a Collection only:

1. Select the Map Tab

2. Select a Collection from the Collections list

3. Select 

4. Select your device

5. Sync your device with your compatible smartphone app or inReach Sync

 

After you have synced the device we recommend verifying the information is on the device or mobile app to ensure you have the data you need for your trip.

 

*The GPSMAP 66 Series is currently the only Garmin that transfers Activities.
