Getting Started with the Approach S62

How Do I Get Started?
You can follow the below the process to setup your Approach S62.
Before getting started, we recommend that you fully charge your Approach S62. See Charging the Device to learn how.
1. Power on the Approach S62 by holding the Menu Button | Click Here to Learn About the Buttons |
2. Choose your language by scrolling through the list, tap on your preferring language to select. |
3. The next steps allow you to set your user preferences, simply follow the on screen prompts to complete the setup process. |
How to Pair Your Smartphone to the Approach S62
This section is optional but recommended to receive connected features. These features include, products software updates, wind information, virtual caddie, smart notifications and Automatic Course Updates for the course you play most.
Before pairing your Approach S62 to your phone, you will need to download and install the Garmin Golf app.
- Press the Menu Button
- Touch Settings then Pair Phone
- In the Garmin Golf app, tap
on Android, or More on iOS, and select Garmin Devices
- Touch Add Device and follow the on screen prompts to complete pairing

How to Start Your First Round of Golf
- Press the Menu Button
- Touch Play Golf and wait for satellites to be located
- After satellites have been acquired, the closest course will appear
- Touch on the display and select if you want to keep score or not
The Approach S62 is now ready to begin playing your first round of golf
