Capacitive Touchscreen Is Not Responding on an Automotive Device

Capacitive touchscreens are touch-sensitive screens, often made of glass. The screen senses electrical impulses from the human touch, typically the fingertip. Unlike resistive touchscreens, which sense pressure, a capacitive touchscreen may not respond to styluses or a gloved hand due to the lack of electrical impulses generated. 

Capacitive touchscreens do not have a manual touchscreen recalibration procedure. The capacitive touchscreen is automatically calibrated each time the system boots up.

If your device's touchscreen is not responding accurately, update its system software.
