Supplemental Chart Features and Compatibility
Garmin offers supplemental maps that differ from the built-in maps by adding additional regions not included on the built-in map or extra features like those on the vision charts. Supplemental charts display priority over the built-in BlueChart g3 maps when areas overlap.

The latest Garmin cartography Garmin Navionics+ and Garmin Navionics Vision+ mapping have integrated coastal and inland content. Garmin Navionics+ and premium Garmin Navionics Vision+ mapping solutions offer a vibrant Navionics style color palette, access to daily map updates, advanced Auto Guidance+™ technology, and much more. The following chartplotters are fully compatible with all features of the Garmin Navionics+ and Garmin Navionics Vision+ Cards. For a complete list of features see: Marine Chart Comparison of BlueChart g3 and Garmin Navionics+ If the chartplotter series is not listed, it is incompatible with Garmin Navionics Charts. See the BlueChart g3 or LakeVu series for mapping options. Garmin Navionics+ cartography is not compatible with wearables or handheld units.

BlueChart g3 mapping products with integrated Garmin and Navionics content are still available for Garmin chartplotters that are not compatible with the newer Garmin Navionics+ chart format. BlueChart g3 provides exceptional coverage, clarity, and detail with coastal charts.
