Log in to the Subscription Portal: https://www.garmin.com/account/subscriptions/
When signed into your account at Garmin.com, the Subscription Portal can also be accessed by selecting
in the top right corner of the page, then Account. From there select SUBSCRIPTIONS & SERVICE PLANS on the left of the page.
Select MANAGE for the SAR plan you want to update.
Scroll to the Billing section and select the toggle next to Automatic Renewal to turn the renewal Off or On.
- If prompted, follow the steps to verify your email address.

Cancelling Automatic Renewal of SAR Benefits
Automatic renewal of Search and Rescue (SAR) benefits can be cancelled by visiting Garmin.com. Depending on which model of inReach® satellite communicator you have, automatic renewal can also be cancelled in either the Garmin Messenger™ app or the Earthmate® app
NOTE: The following process only works with Garmin Messenger app compatible devices.
Open the Garmin Messenger app.
Select Device.
If Device is not displayed at the bottom of the app, you will need to pair your inReach device.
Select your current plan type below the picture of your inReach device.
Select Search and Rescue Insurance.
Select the toggle next to Automatic Renewal to turn the renewal Off or On.
NOTE: The following process only works with Earthmate Compatible inReach Devices.
Open the Earthmate app.
Select
(Android™) or More (iPhone®/iPad®).
Select My inReach.
Select Manage Subscription.
Select Search and Rescue Insurance.
Select the toggle next to Automatic Renewal to turn the renewal Off or On.
