Index Smart Scale Series Displays a Weight Value When Nothing Is on It
The Index Smart Scale Series may show a weight value when no weight is on the scale if the scale was moved and the scale "zeroed" itself with a value other than zero. To get the most accurate weight value, ensure that the scale has been properly zeroed before taking a new measurement.
Wait for the scale to go to sleep when nothing is on it.
Once asleep, wait 3 seconds. Make sure not to move or touch the scale.
After 3 seconds, wake the scale by making a short, firm tap with your foot on the scale.
Once the scale wakes up wait for the display to show a weight value of 0.
If the scale is still showing a value other than zero when nothing is on it, try the following:
Pick up the scale and hold stationary in your hands until the display shuts off.
Once the scale shuts off, gently place the scale back on the ground.
Wake up the scale by making a short, firm tap with your foot.
Once awake, the weight value should show 0.
After manually zeroing the scale an accurate body composition measurement can be taken and uploaded to Garmin Connect.
