Activity Tracker Sleep Mode on the epix Watch

Your epix™ watch can be used to track total time slept in addition to durations of movement and restful sleep during rest periods. You can set your normal sleep time in Garmin Connect™ account or place your watch into sleep mode to facilitate the recording of this information. All methods require the watch to be worn while resting in order to track movement during sleep or rest periods.

Enabling Sleep Mode on the epix Watch

  1. Navigate to the Activity Tracking widget.

  2. Press Start/Stop.

  3. Select Yes.


Using the Garmin Connect App to Set Your Normal Sleep Time

  1. Open the Garmin Connect app.

  2. Access the menu by selecting More (bottom right).

  3. Touch Settings.

  4. Touch User Settings.

  5. Edit your Bed Time or Wake Time.

  6. Touch the back button when finished.


Using the Garmin Connect Website to Set Your Sleep Time

  1. Log in to Garmin Connect.

  2. Click the menu icon in upper left (three horizontal lines).

  3. Select Devices.

  4. Click User Settings under your device.

  5. Enter your normal sleep start and end time (e.g. 11:00 PM , 7:00 AM).

  6. Click Save at bottom of the page.

  7. Click Connect in upper left to return to your Dashboard.

The next time you sync the watch your normal sleep time will be updated and the Sleep data in Garmin Connect will reflect the sleep period timeframe.

When you use the preset normal sleep time in Garmin Connect the watch will track your rest activity and when uploaded to Garmin Connect you would need to confirm the sleep time in order to see the sleep graph. When the watch is placed in to Sleep Mode, recorded sleep data will upload with this sleep time automatically and no confirmation is necessary.
