What Is the Difference Between Corning® Gorilla® Glass DX, Power Glass™ and Sapphire Crystal Lens?
Corning® Gorilla® Glass DX, which is also used for the Power Glass™ lens, is designed to be scratch-resistant, but it is not as durable as the sapphire crystal lens. The sapphire crystal lens is incredibly durable and is the third hardest mineral, right behind diamond. As a result, the lens is much harder to scratch than glass. Please note that while the sapphire crystal lens can be very difficult to scratch, it is still not scratchproof.
What Mapping Is Preloaded on the fēnix 6S Pro Solar Smartwatch?
Our fēnix 6S Pro Solar watch comes preloaded with mapping that includes routable street and off-road networks, popular ski resort maps and more than 41,000 golf courses.
How Does Power Glass Solar Charging Work?
fēnix 6S Pro Solar watches use our Power Glass watch lens to convert sunlight into battery power, extending your time between charges.
The sunlight or solar intensity received will be displayed on the solar watch face or Solar Intensity widget as an icon that fills in as solar intensity is increased. To learn more about solar charging, see What is Power Glass or Sapphire Solar Charging.
What New Settings Are Available in the Power Manager?
Power manager offers various settings to manage battery use. Some of these features include battery saver and power mode. Battery saver controls your everyday settings so you can adjust features — such as backlight, smartphone connection or optical heart rate — that are on or off. Power modes allow you to set these features to use for your activity profile.
What Is the PacePro™ Feature?
PacePro is a new addition to our running features, where you can create a pace plan from a Garmin Connect™ course or by selecting a distance. Once selected, you can customize the guidance based on personal racing strategies, and we provide dynamic grade-adjusted pace guidance based on the elevation profile and distance of your activity.
