Garmin Connect: Workout Steps Shown in Activity Splits

In the Garmin Connect™ platform, when viewing the activity details of an advanced workout that was recorded on a Garmin® watch, you may notice lap or interval information listed that includes workout steps such as warm-up, rest, and cool-down, etc. Not all watches support this feature. If your watch does not support this information, Step Types will only contain dashes instead of the workout step. An example of the data displayed is shown below.

How Do I Find This Information in Garmin Connect?

To find the activity splits select your platform below:

Garmin Connect Web

  1. From a web browser, sign into your Garmin Connect account.

  2. Select Activities from the navigation bar on the left.

  3. From the drop down select All Activities.

  4. Select the activity in question.

  5. Scroll down below the graph data and select Laps or Intervals, depending on the type of activity you performed.

Garmin Connect App

  1. Open the Garmin Connect app.

  2. Select More (bottom right).

  3. Select Activities.

  4. From the drop down select All Activities.

  5. Select the activity in question.

  6. Select the Lap Interval Symbol in Garmin Connect app icon or Laps tab towards the top of the activity details page to view the data.
