Resolving Message Date Issue for Certain DeLorme inReach Devices

If you are experiencing an issue with the date being incorrect on your inReach® Original (inReach for Android, inReach for PN-60w, inReach for Smartphones) satellite communicator, select your device from the list below and follow the instructions to resolve the issue.

IMPORTANT: This process can only be completed on a Windows computer.
Failure to use the correct instructions for your device will result in installing software that is not compatible with your inReach device, and can permanently disable the device.

Choose the device below that matches your inReach Original.

inReach for Android

IMPORTANT

inReach for Android can be identified by the following markings: 

  • inReach will be written in Blue
  • It will say "DeLorme inReach for Android OS" on a sticker on the left side of the inReach

  1. Download the needed files from the following link: https://files.delorme.com/inReachFW/prod/batchfiles/bootappbluetooth.1.0.zip
  2. Locate the Zip file on your computer
    NOTE: Usually this will be found in your Downloads. The Zip file will be named AppBlueooth.1.0.zip.
  3. Extract the Zip file to your Desktop
  4. With the inReach powered off, connect it to the computer
  5. Press and hold the Tracking and Message buttons, then press and hold Power until the inReach powers on
  6. Double-click the RunME.bat file in the extracted folder from Step 2

  7. Once done, the inReach will power off - Do not disconnect the inReach until the update is complete

Test the device to make sure it is now transmitting tracks with the correct date and time. 

inReach for PN-60w

IMPORTANT

inReach for PN-60w can be identified by the following markings: 

  • inReach will be written in Green
  • It will say "DeLorme inReach for DeLorme GPS" on a sticker on the left side of the inReach
  1. Download the needed files from the following link: https://files.delorme.com/inReachFW/prod/batchfiles/bootappzigbee.zip
  2. Locate the Zip file on your computer
    NOTE: Usually this will be found in your Downloads. The Zip file will be named AppZigbee.zip.
  3. Extract the Zip file to your Desktop
  4. With the inReach powered off, connect it to the computer
  5. Press and hold the Tracking and Message buttons, then press and hold Power until the inReach powers on
  6. Double-click the RunME.bat file in the extracted folder from Step 2

  7. Once done, the inReach will power off - Do not disconnect the inReach until the update is complete

Test the device to make sure it is now transmitting tracks with the correct date and time. 

inReach for Smartphones

IMPORTANT

inReach for Smartphone can be identified by the following markings:

  • inReach will be written in Blue (or in some cases Green)
  • It will say "DeLorme inReach 1.5 Compatible with Android and iOS" on a sticker on the left side of the inReach
  1. Download the needed files from the following link: https://files.delorme.com/inReachFW/prod/batchfiles/bootappbluetooth.1.5.zip
  2. Locate the Zip File on your computer
    NOTE: Usually this will be found in your Downloads. The Zip File will be named AppBluetooth.1.5.zip.
  3. Extract the Zip File to your Desktop
  4. With the inReach powered off, connect it to the computer
  5. Press and hold the Tracking and Message buttons, then press and hold Power until the inReach powers on
  6. Double-click the RunME.bat file in the extracted folder from Step 2

  7. Once done, the inReach will power off - Do not disconnect the inReach until the update is complete

Test the device to make sure it is now transmitting tracks with the correct date and time.
