How Do I Connect My Garmin Watch With Surfline Sessions?

How to Connect With Surfline Sessions

Once you have verified that you have a compatible Garmin watch, follow these steps to quickly connect your Surfline and Garmin accounts:

What is Needed

• The Surfline iOS app and a Surfline account with a premium membership

• The Garmin Connect™ iOS app and a Garmin account

• A Garmin watch with the Surf activity profile installed¹

Connecting to Surfline Sessions

1. Sign in to Garmin Connect app on your iOS device.

2. Sign in to Surfline app.

3. Go to the Sessions Tab of the Surfline App.

4. Touch Connect to Partner.

5. Enter your Garmin account info and follow onscreen prompts to complete the connection process.

6. Verify your connection on the "Done" screen.² 

7. Make sure your Garmin watch is connected to your phone and Garmin Connect app.

After completing the connection process, go out and record surf activities. Surf activities recorded and saved with your compatible Garmin will automatically sync to Surfline Sessions after being uploaded to Garmin Connect. See What is Surfline Sessions? to learn more about Surfline Sessions.

¹ If you have a compatible Garmin watch and cannot add the surf activity profile, ensure that your watch software is up to date by syncing with Garmin Express.

² If your Garmin Connect account and Surfline account is linked properly, and your Garmin Connect account is properly displaying your surf activities but the data in Surfline is incorrect or missing, contact Surfline support for assistance.
