Time Settings on the inReach Messenger Series

There are a few time settings available on the inReach® Messenger and inReach Messenger Plus satellite communicators.

Changing Time Settings on the inReach Messenger Series

TIP: When connected with a smartphone, you can also adjust these settings with the Garmin Messenger™ app by selecting Device > Settings .

From the home screen, press or to scroll through the main menu and select SETTINGS.
Select System .
Select Time.
Select a time setting:
- Time Format: Sets the inReach device to show time in a 12-hour or 24-hour format.
- Time Zone: Sets the time zone for the inReach device.
  NOTE: The Automatic time zone setting sets the time automatically based on your location and also adjusts for daylight saving time. This setting would be recommended for those who travel frequently to avoid having to adjust the time zone setting.
- Daylight Saving: Sets the inReach device to use daylight saving time.
  NOTE: This option is not available when Time Zone is set to Automatic.
