Pairing a Bluetooth Phone with Your Automotive Device
You can use your device with your cell phone by pairing them. This allows you to make and receive phone calls through your Garmin device.
Note: Garmin recommends using the dēzl™ App when connecting to your smartphone via Bluetooth for extra features likes traffic updates. See Pairing Your Smartphone with Your Device for instructions.
The Instructions Below Will Only Allow you to use the Bluetooth for Phone Calls. Live Services and Traffic Will not Work.
Set your phone to "Find Me" or "Discoverable" mode before you begin. Refer to the owner's manual for the phone if you are not sure how to do this.
To Pair and Connect the Phone With the Device:
- Touch Settings
- Touch Phone
- If Bluetooth is disabled touch Yes
- Touch Add a phone
- Touch Pair Without an App
- Touch Yes
- In your phone's Bluetooth settings select the Garmin device listed
- Touch Pair on your phone
- Touch Yes on the Garmin device
A message should display about the Garmin device successfully pairing with the phone. The device and phone will automatically connect in the future when within range.
