Capture ERA Shutdown Logs on an Automotive Device
Please use the following directions to gather and send shutdown logs. Once we have this information, we will be able to further assist you with determining the cause of the device powering off or rebooting.
- Connect your device to the computer
- Open Garmin Express
- Select your device
- Click Tools & Content
- Click the Privacy tab
- Click Change Drive Log Preferences under Drive Log
- Skip steps 6-9 if you see a green checkmark under Drive Log.
- Skip steps 6-9 if only Personal Data appears in the Privacy tab. This indicates data sharing has already been enabled.
- Click Yes
- Disconnect your device from the computer
- Reconnect your device after 5 seconds
The logs will now be sent to Product Support for further review.
