Setting a Collection to Sync Using the Garmin Explore Website

The Garmin Explore™ website can be used to set certain collections to sync to specific devices in your Garmin Explore account.

Setting a Collection to Sync Using the Garmin Explore Website

A Collection can be set to sync to a device either through the Plans & Devices page or the Map page in the Garmin Explore website.

Setting a Collection to Sync Using the Plans & Devices Page

Individual collections can be selected to sync from the Garmin Explore website to a specific device. The steps below show you how to do this using the Plans & Devices page in your Garmin Explore account.

  1. Log in to the Garmin Explore website.

  2. Select PLANS & DEVICES.

  3. Select Collections next to the desired device.

  4. Select Sync Selection.

    NOTE: The option to choose individual collections to sync is only available if the Sync Selection option is chosen. If the Sync Everything option is chosen, then the entire library will be set to sync.

  5. Select the drop down under Primary Collection.

  6. Select a primary collection.

    NOTE: Data in the primary collection is automatically set to sync to the device.

  7. Select additional collections to sync.

    NOTE: If you get the Collection Size Warning message, select Save to continue.

NOTE: Collections containing over 100 waypoints, 20 routes, 5 tracks, or a track with over 10,000 points may be too large to sync with your device and are marked with a yellow warning icon.

The selected collections are now set to sync to the device. Perform a sync with your device for it to have these updates:

NOTE: If the selected collection data does not show after syncing a Garmin Explore app compatible device, follow the steps in Setting a Collection to Sync Using the Garmin Explore App to ensure the collection is toggled on to sync in the app.


Setting a Collection to Sync Using the Map Page

Individual collections can be selected to sync from the Garmin Explore website to a specific device. The steps below show you how to do this using the Map page in your Garmin Explore account.

  1. Log in to the Garmin Explore website.

  2. Select Map.

  3. Select a Collection in the left side panel.

    NOTE: If the left side panel is not visible, select Garmin Explore Website Open Library to open it.

  4. Select Garmin Explore Website Sync Icon.

  5. Select the desired collections to sync.

  6. Select Save.

NOTE: Collections containing over 100 waypoints, 20 routes, 5 tracks, or a track with over 10,000 points may be too large to sync with your device and are marked with a yellow warning icon.

The selected collections are now set to sync to the device. Perform a sync with your device for it to have these updates:
