Using the Vehicle Profile on a Tread Device
The vehicle type determines how your Tread® XL - Baja Chase Edition and Tread® XL - Baja Race Edition will calculate routes.
Vehicle Types Available:
ATV:
For use with 3 wheel and 4 wheel ATVs.
Full Size:
Off-Road Capable for use with full size off-road capable vehicles.
On-Road Only for use with full size on-road only vehicles.
Other:
For use when hauling a travel trailer, boat trailer, or flatbed trailer.
Race:
For use when racing.
Side-by-Side:
For use with 3 wheel and 4 wheel Side-by-Side vehicles.
Vehicle Characteristics:
Ground Clearance: Can be set to standard clearance or high clearance.
Vehicles with higher ground clearance are less likely to bottom out on rougher trails. Most 4x4 vehicles are considered high clearance vehicles. Consult with your vehicle manufacture or owner's manual if you do not know if your vehicle has high ground clearance.
Road Use: Can be set for Street legal, Highway legal, and Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) use.
Traction Method: The number of wheels used for the vehicle.
Width: Measurement of the widest point of the vehicle.
To Change the Vehicle Type:
1. Touch Apps
2. Touch Tools
3. Touch Settings
4. Touch Vehicle Profile
5. Select a vehicle type
6. Touch Select to use the vehicle profile
To Create a Vehicle Profile:
1. Touch the Add button
2. Select your current vehicle
3. Select the Vehicle Characteristics then select Next
4. Select the Level of Adventurous Routing then select Next
Level 1 fastest route, paved roads.
Level 2 less paved roads.
Level 3 more unpaved roads, some curves and hills.
Level 4 most curves, hills, and unpaved roads.
The vehicle profile has now been successfully created.
