What Permissions Does Each User Have in the Garmin Jr App?

With a maximum of 20 contacts, the administrator can use the Garmin Jr.™ app to assign guardians, caregivers, and friends. Permissions will vary with each contact type.

NOTE: The creator of the family account will be designated as the administrator and can assign up to 8 guardians or caregivers to the family. Once you have reached this limit, the app will no longer allow you to send a new invite. The remaining contact slots will be for friends who also use a Bounce™ watch.

• The Administrator: has full permissions to contact, locate or manage the child’s Bounce and the members of the family. You will receive safety and tracking alerts if triggered by the Bounce watch. You can also access and change the Bounce's LTE subscription settings under "Connectivity" in the Garmin Jr. app. 

• Guardians: have full permissions to contact, locate or manage the child’s Bounce. You will receive safety and tracking alerts if triggered by the Bounce watch. Inclusion in the family message thread.

• Assigned Caregivers: can send voice or text messages and see location from their Garmin Jr. app. You will receive safety and tracking alerts if triggered by the Bounce watch. Caregivers are not included in the family message thread.

• Friends (Assigned Contacts/Connections): can only send voice or text messages from their own Bounce smartwatch to your kid’s Bounce.
