Automotive Device Stuck on Loading Maps
If the screen on your device is stuck or unable to get past the "Loading Maps" screen when on battery power or external power, but it goes into Mass Storage/MTP mode when you connect it to the computer, perform a software update using the Garmin Express™ software to correct the issue.
If you are using a memory card in this device and the locking up occurred after a map update, try removing the card and then power the device on. If doing this enables the device to power on without locking up, the data on the card may need to be formatted and the map update reinstalled.
