Open the Earthmate app.
Select (Android™) or More (iPhone®/iPad®).
Select Settings (Android) or Options (iPhone/iPad).
Select Tracking.
Select Send Interval > Off.
Select Log Interval > Off.

Calculating Trip Information Without Logging a Track in Earthmate App
Trip information can be calculated without logging a track in the Earthmate® app1 by turning off the Log Interval and Send Interval both in the app and on the paired inReach® device. When tracking is started in Earthmate app with the steps below, current track details will be visible despite no track being recorded on the map.
Important Notes Before Getting Started
inReach device must have an active subscription. For more information, see - How to Activate a New inReach.
inReach device must be paired to Earthmate app. For assistance pairing, see - Pairing Instructions for Earthmate Compatible inReach Devices.
Tracking must be started in the Earthmate app. If tracking is started on the inReach device while the Log and Send Intervals are both off, the error message Cannot Start Tracking will appear.
Recording Trip Information Without Logging a Track in Earthmate App
With the steps above completed, current track details will be viewable on Earthmate app and the inReach device.
