Map Purchases Are Not Eligible for Updates

Maps for Garmin devices are sold as pre-programmed data cards or as direct downloads.

Preloaded map cards and downloadable content (DLC) cannot be updated and DLC cannot be re-downloaded after 1 year from the date of purchase.

If you have previously purchased maps on a preloaded map card or as DLC and would like to have a newer version of the map, you will need to purchase a new copy of the map.

NOTE: Preloaded TopoActive and City Navigator® maps that come already installed on select Garmin devices can be updated using Garmin Express™ software. Outdoor Maps+ content can be updated as long as you maintain an active Outdoor Maps+ subscription (see - Getting Started With Outdoor Maps Plus Subscription).
