Changing Data Fields on the vivosmart HR

The vivosmart HR has the ability to start a timer and record a dedicated activity. The data displayed on the device can be customized by adjusting the Activity Options from Garmin Connect app or web. The vivosmart HR can display up to five different data pages. Pages 1-4 can display up to two data fields per page and page 5 will display the time and date. The available data fields on a vivosmart HR are:

  • Calories

  • Distance

  • Heart Rate

  • Heart Rate Zones

  • Timer


Edit Data Fields Through Garmin Connect App

  1. Open the Garmin Connect app.

  2. Access the menu by selecting More (bottom right).

  3. Select Garmin Devices.

  4. Select the vivosmart HR.

  5. Select Activity Options.

  6. Select an Activity Profile (Run, Walk, Cardio, Other).

  7. Select Data Fields.

  8. Choose how you want the data fields displayed on each page.

  9. Select the back arrow to save changes.

  10. Sync your device.

The data fields are now changed.


Edit Data Fields Through Garmin Connect Web

  1. Sign into Garmin Connect from a personal computer.

  2. Select Device and Sync Status Icon Garmin Connect Web (top right).

  3. Select Device Settings under vivosmart HR.

  4. Select Activity Options.

  5. Select an Activity profile (Run, Walk, Cardio, Other).

  6. Choose how you want the data fields displayed on each page.

  7. Select Save Settings at the bottom of the screen.

  8. Sync your device.

The data fields are now changed.


The data pages can be viewed by swiping the screen on the vivosmart HR while the timer is active. Notifications will display while in an activity, however no other features can be accessed or viewed while in a timed activity.
