Creating Custom Avoidances on a Vieo Series Infotainment System

The navigation feature in a Vieo series infotainment system is capable of avoiding specific user-set roads or areas using Custom Avoidances.

To create Custom Avoidances:

1. From the home screen, select Apps
   
   
   
2. Select Tools
   
   
   
3. Scroll down and select Settings
   
   
   
4. Select Navigation
   
   
   
5. Select Route Preferences
   
   
   
6. Select Custom Avoidances
   
   
   
7. Select either Add Avoid Area or Add Avoid Road
   
   
   

Add Avoid Area will select a portion of land the navigation will not route through.

To create an area avoidance:

1. Select Add Avoid Area
   
   
   
2. Touch a corner of the area to be avoided
   
   
   
3. A red pin will be placed in the area. Select Next
   
   
   
4. Touch the opposite corner of the area to be avoided. A second red pin will appear and a grey square will be placed over the chosen area. Select Next
   
   
   
5. Check that the grey square covers the whole area to be avoided and select Done
   
   
   
6. The avoided area will now appear in the Custom Avoidances menu
   
   
   
   1. • Please note that after an avoidance has been created, selecting Custom Avoidances in Route Preferences will show the above page, and further avoidances can be added by selecting Add Avoidance

Add Avoid Road follows similar steps.

To select a road to avoid:

1. Select Add Avoid Road
   
   
   
2. Touch the start point of the road to be avoided
   
   
   
3. A red pin is placed in the area. Select Next
   
   
   
4. Touch the end point of the road to be avoided. Another red pin is placed in that area. Select Next
   
   
   
5. Check that the area highlighted in magenta covers the road to be avoided and select Done
   
   
   
6. The avoided road will now appear in Custom Avoidances
   
   
   

Created avoidances can be managed from the Custom Avoidances menu as well. Select the avoidance to be managed and the following menu will appear:

• Rename changes what the avoidance is called in the Custom Avoidances menu. This is useful if there are many created avoidances that frequently need to be enabled or disabled
• Delete removes the avoidance from the device
• Disable stops the navigation from avoiding the selected area or road but does not remove it from the device. It can be re-enabled at any time from this menu
