Locate and Send Garmin Course Segments to an Edge Device

Compatible Edge® cycling computers can accept course segments from the Segments widget in your Garmin Connect™ account. The device must be synced to an account through the Garmin Express™ program.

Segments created by the local Garmin Connect Community are displayed on the Leaderboard. Choose from existing segments or find one in another location.

Discover Segments in Another Location

1. Connect the Edge to a computer.

2. From a web browser sign into Garmin Connect.

3. Select on Segments Widget.

   NOTE: If you do not have a Segments widget, you can add one to your Dashboard with the steps below.

   1. Log into Garmin Connect.

   2. Select the Dashboard page.

   3. Select Segments from the list on the left.

4. Set location on map (Enter City, State, Postal Code in Starting Near field).

5. Use Keywords to refine search.

6. Select a segment name.

7. Select Send to Device.

8. Select your Edge.

9. Select Send Now.

Once Garmin Express has successfully sent the segment to your Edge, you are ready to compete. The Edge will display an alert when you are near the starting point of a segment.
