Open the Garmin Connect app.
Select More (bottom right).
Select Garmin Devices.
Select your Garmin watch.
Select Activity Tracking or Device Settings.
Toggle Activity Tracking on or off.
Sync your watch.

What is the Activity Tracking Feature on My Garmin Watch?
Many Garmin® watches provide 24-hour activity tracking (steps, sleep, etc.) so you can get a full picture of your daily health. If you have multiple activity tracking devices, set the device you wear all day as your Primary Wearable Device.
What Happens If I Turn Off Activity Tracking?
Some Garmin watches have the option to turn off Activity Tracking. If you turn off activity tracking, the following features will be disabled on your watch:

Step counter
Sleep monitoring
All-day heart rate data in Garmin Connect
Calories burned

How Do I Turn Activity Tracking Off or On?
By default, Activity Tracking will be enabled. To turn Activity Tracking off or on directly from your watch, refer to your owner's manual for instructions. To turn Activity Tracking off or on using your Garmin Connect™ account, select your platform below.
NOTE: Devices that use Real Time Settings will not have the option to disable Activity Tracking. This feature will remain on by default.
