Instinct Series Moon Phase and Sunrise/Sunset Features
Moon phase, or sunrise and sunset, widgets can be set on the Garmin Instinct® watch to help keep you safe in the wilderness. These items can also be displayed on the face of the Instinct watch. Knowing when the sun will set helps you make sure you get back to camp before it gets too dark, or knowing that there will be new moon can make all difference when star gazing.
Understanding the Moon Phase Widget
The Moon Phase widget will show you moonrise and moonset, letting you know when you can expect to see the moon. You will also be able to see what phase the moon will be in.

To view Moon Phase information, you will have to add the widget.
From the clock page, press and hold MENU/UP.
Select Widgets.
Select Add Widgets.
Select Moon Phase.

The moon's current phase can be displayed to give you a visual representation of where the moon is in its cycle.
From the clock page, press and hold MENU/UP.
Select Watch Face.
Select desired watch face.
Select Customize.
Select Moon Phase,1as seen below.

Understanding the Sunrise & Sunset Widget
The Sunrise & Sunset widget will display what time you can expect the sun to rise above or set below the horizon. Additionally, it will display when twilight begins or ends, helping you plan when it may be best to go fishing or view the stars.

From the clock page, press and hold MENU/UP.
Select Watch Face.
Select a watch face.
Select Customize.
Select Sunrise & Sunset,1as seen below. NOTE: A down pointing arrow above the sun icon represents sunset, up represent sunrise.
