NMEA 0183 Compatible Cable for Garmin® Marine Handhelds

Some Garmin® Marine handhelds have the ability to output NMEA 0183 data to interface with marine equipment or a computer.

Cable Needed:

• Power/Data Cable Part Number 010-10082-00 This cable can be used with the GPS 73, GPSMAP 78 series, and GPSMAP 79 series to wire the handheld directly to a DC power source or some other electronic device. This connection allows you to send speed and position data to devices such as a chartplotter, computer, auto pilot, radar, etc.

• MicroUSB Cable Part Number 010-11478-01 This cable allows the GPSMAP 79 series or GPMAP 86 series to output NMEA 0183 sentences to a computer using a USB connection; the device does not connect directly to on-board equipment
