Troubleshooting Pairing Issues on a Garmin Bike Cadence Sensor

If you are experiencing pairing issues with the Garmin® Cadence Sensor or Garmin Cadence Sensor 2, following the troubleshooting steps below will solve most issues:

  1. Spin your crank arms around a couple of revolutions. The green LED on the sensor will flash for 5 seconds.

  2. If the LED does not flash, replace the battery in the sensor. For steps on how to replace the battery in your cadence sensor, refer to your owner's manual.

  3. Move away from possible electrical interference, such as household electronics or outdoor high voltage electrical lines when pairing.

  4. It may be necessary to re-scan for the sensor from your Garmin device. Reference your owner's manual for more information on re-scanning for the cadence sensor.

  5. Ensure the Garmin device that the sensor is being paired with is up to date on software using Garmin Express™ from a personal computer.
