Connecting a Golfing Device Which Pairs Through Garmin Connect App to the Garmin Golf App

Many Garmin® devices that are used for playing golf do not pair directly through the Garmin Golf™ app, but they can connect to the Garmin Golf app in order to sync data, such as wind speed and direction for compatible devices, and display scorecard information. 

Pairing a Device Through the Garmin Connect App and Connecting to the Garmin Golf App

The steps below will guide you through pairing your device to the Garmin Connect™ app and then connecting to the Garmin Golf app. If your device is already paired to the Garmin Connect app, opening the Garmin Golf app will connect it.

  1. Download and install the Garmin Connect app.

  2. Open the Garmin Connect app and create a new account or sign in with your Garmin account.

  3. Pair the device with the Garmin Connect app, see - Instructions to Remove and Add a Device in the Garmin Connect App.

  4. After your device has paired and synced with Garmin Connect app, open the Garmin Golf app.

  5. In the Garmin Golf app select Profile.

  6. Select My Devices.

  7. Confirm that your device shows Connected.

Some legacy golfing devices do not show in the app, but the scorecard information will still sync from the Garmin Connect app to the Garmin Golf app. 

Syncing and Viewing Scorecards in the Garmin Golf App

After golfing, when your device syncs with the Garmin Connect app, your scorecards will automatically sync from the Garmin Connect app to the Garmin Golf app. To view your scorecards on the Garmin Golf App, select Activity from the icons at the bottom of the home page. For information about reading your scorecard, see the Related content at the end of this article.
