Raymarine Wi-Fi Security and Passwords With Plotter Sync
When using a Raymarine Multi-function Display or DragonFly Pro with Wi-Fi along with your Navionics® Boating app through Plotter Sync, you may not want the Wi-Fi security settings enabled. This is a personal choice, just like your home Wi-Fi password, and allows you to avoid entering a complex password in order to connect to the device Wi-Fi . This may not be recommended when your boat is in an area where multiple Raymarine networks are present as open security can allow another users to connect to your plotter and alter controls.
Edit your Raymarine plotter's Wi-Fi/Wireless settings, depending on your plotter family.
- Select Tools & Settings
- Select WiFi-Settings
- Adjust your Wi-Fi Name, if desired
- Select Wi-Fi Security, if you wish to change your security setting or passphrase
- From the Home screen select Set-up
- Select Wireless Connections
- Select Wi-Fi
- Select Wi-Fi Sharing
- From the Home screen select Settings
- Select This Display
- Select Wi-Fi Connection Settings
- Select Configure
- Select Pass Phrase
- Select Show Characters
