Assembly and Getting Started Instructions for the Tacx Boost
Below are steps you can follow to complete the assembly of your trainer. Select any step to reveal detailed visual instructions to get you up and running.

This is an important step as it will determine the installation position of the resistance unit. Size information is generally listed on the sidewall of the tire.
Using the information from step 3, identify the correct position number on the resistance unit. The unit will show numbers 1, 2, and 3. You would select the number based on your tire diameter. Align the resistance unit to the frame with the correct number.

Garmin recommends the use of a trainer tire. Tires with an aggressive tread® should not be used. You can purchase this tire in a variety of sizes from Garmin here: Tacx Trainer Tire.
The tire should be inflated to a minimum of 116 psi ( 8 bar).
Place the bike in the trainer, push down the lever, and rotate the knob clockwise until the roller slightly touches the rear wheel.
Pull up the lever to release the rear wheel and rotate the knob 360 degrees clockwise five full times. Then push down the lever. This will provide optimal performance in the Tacx Training app.
Measure the diameter of your handlebars and place the proper insert in the resistance lever.
Place the resistance lever on your handlebars and tighten it by turning the knob.
NOTE: If you purchased your trainer with the Garmin Speed Sensor you can find instructions on installing the sensor here: Garmin Speed Sensor 2 Installation Instructions
